Drifting . . . Changsha
I set out back into the city this morning in hopes of exploring a little bit more. As I crossed the bridge I saw a billboard for a drifting company. When I was told Yongzhou is famous for drifting I was thinking of a little canoe down a river. Well this billboard showed me that once again there is a little something lost in translation because their version of drifting is our version of White Water Rafting! GAME ON! I kept walking and found a badminton museum which goes to prove how seriously they take their badminton here and a sports arena of sorts that contained a golf driving range. Then I came across the Tour Shop for the Drifting place and luckily one of the employees, Keith, speaks english! We quickly became friends and he then helped me to find a map of Yongzhou so that I can locate where everything is.
Bank of China, Dicos, and no Power
I was beginning to freak out a little bit when I couldn’t find my portfolio which contained my passport and official contract between me and Yongzhou #6 Middle School. I had a hunch that I left it in the school’s driver’s van, Mr. Qi (Chee), but I had been unable to locate him till this morning. Luckily it was there and after chatting it up with some of the other teachers I was off to town to open up my account with the Bank of China.
Testing Facebook Plugin
and the winner is . . . WordPress
After much frustration with DotNetNuke I have chosen to use WordPress as my new blogging tool. WordPress is 1000% easier to use and I can move to a cheaper host since I no longer need asp.net to support it. There seems to be a lot more 3rd party plugins available for WordPress as well so keep an eye out for some nifty stuff.
