Spring Break Plans???
I was browsing online today and realized that spring break is coming up soon and I have yet to make plans. Granted I’m no longer a student but seeing how I’m still associated with the academic world I figured I’d take a spring break vacation somewhere . . . even though I don’t officially get one. Since I have already hit up Thailand and I still want to see more of China I think the logical choice is Hainan (also known as China’s Hawaii). It will be interesting to see how it compares to the real Hawaii and also if I can find a 7-11 or equivellant to keep the ABC game going. Granted it won’t be the same without the thanksgiving crew (Dan, Amy, Justin) or the crew that almost landed me in jail while in thailand (Adam, Aditi, Karen) but I’m sure I’ll be able to find someone to partake with me.Â
things are finally falling into place
I’ve been living out of a suitcase for the past two months so internet access has been sporadic but everything is finally falling into place and hopefully by the end of the week everything is back in order. For those who were wondering my trip through SE Asia was chaotic . . . but i did find beauty in the chaos and my desire to travel was fueled even more. After my year in China I’m pretty set on working abroad. I am coming back to the states though in August for Adam and Lori’s celebration and will probably spend a few weeks/months there job hunting/preparing for the move. Hong Kong is very high on the list and a very good fit considering my IT/financial background. Singapore and Kuala Lumpur also fit the mold but there is just something special about HK. All though I have still not been to Europe, London could be a possiblity. Either way my goal is to have everything figured out by my next birthday which gives me plenty of time.
