Reality and China

As you probably know the 2008 Olympics are coming to China in a few months. The Chinese view this is a great opportunity to show the world how advanced they have become and to promote China as a great tourist destination. In fact, China is counting on this opportunity so much that they have taken a number of measures to ensure that nothing goes wrong with the Olympics. One of those measures was to tighten up the visa policy so that no trouble makers could get in the country and start an uproar. However, as a result of the sudden changes to the China visa policy, the number of tourist visiting Beijing in the month of may has actually decreased by 12.5% this year compared to last.
